The classes help physicians understand the evolving economics and business principles of the U.S. healthcare delivery system.  A “framework of analysis” method is used in these classes as a tool to help physicians understand the long-term impact of systems-based practice and other business and legal principles on medical practices and career opportunities.  The classes help physicians explore systems-based practice to provide cost-conscious, effective medical care, work to promote patient safety, and coordinate care with other healthcare providers.
